Hell, I watch a black and white Tegu eat a mouse two or three times a week...except they are frozen and have to be thawed prior to feeding time......So no scurrying furry animals to watch...

Tegu... I had to look'em up, pretty cool lizards and they get fairly large at 5+'.
Is he/she yours? Baby, juvenile or adult? Name?

I had a friend who had a Caiman (South American type of alligator/crocodile, very dangerous/tempermaental) that was like 4.5/5' long, it ate fish, chickens, rats and the occasional cat... Yes cat, we were hoodlums and thought it funny that morris wasn't gonna make it home that night.

I refer to him as my "roomie" because he is in the enclosure in the gift shop I work in at a local zoo. His name is Titan and I believe he is an adult.

Oooooh........Yeah, Titan is terribly temperamental and right now he is shedding...which means he is extra pissy...

Thanks to my observations about Titan...he has been given specific sized food (his diet, they give him eggs and veggies along with mice), keep the heating pads on a lot higher, and they found out he was shedding. I was told I was becoming a tegu expert......
