Guest #1 July 17, 2004 Things are starting to look a little better around here. As you regulars know, I've been out of work for almost a year since I got laid off by Boeing. However, I had an interview yesterday at Verizon for a job right here in my home town of Everett, WA. The manager told me he was interviewing twelve people for eight positions, so if I'm hired, I'll have a 10- to 15-minute drive to work instead of a murderous commute on the Interstate. I got an invite this week from Jeanne "Amazon" Cameron to make a road trip down to Ralph Hatley's place. I have another interview at Microsoft this Monday afternoon.
