For instance Skymama and BBarnhouse and . . . .

I can't come this year. Betsy will have to do double the puckering.

If you don't want suggestions, you shouldn't ask for them.

My post was for clarification purposes. I too would like to see the bar non-smoking, I think most people that know me well know that. Thank you for your suggestion, this has been visited many times by me and is an on going conversation.

Lotsa places have non-smoking areas

Yeppers and there is a non- smoking area just not in the pub.

Betsy, if the event is only half as good as last year you've done an amazing job already.

I don't really have any ideas right now, the only thing I could think of right now is a big way camp.

For a lot of people that jump at a single airplane dropzone this is something where they are maxed to 14 - 22 ways.
Multiple airplane loads (I know they are hard to organize) are something that not a lot of skydivers have access to.

Even smaller formations would be fine here too, docking late on a 10-20 way for example, jump with an organizer and be switched to different slots to make you comfortable flying in different spots in the formations.

I know Philippe (I hope I spelled this right) was doing some of this last year too.

For me personally.. just show me nice formations :P

Convince SDA to put money into making decent showers.

I can't speak for the women's showers (although I wish I had more experience about them) :)
But that is the only suggestion I have....I think SDA is a terrific DZ in all aspects.

Is Airspeed having another day of formation diving with various skill levels, like they did last year ?

formation loads are great at the end of the day, pretty hard logistically during a boogie. I will give this thought and can see that this would be great fun and a good learning opportunity.:)

If enough dropzone.commers show interest...I'll make it happen.

but I would suggest turning the water heater thermostat WAY DOWN in the men's.....it was so hot as to be downright painful.

I am aware....the showers will be dealt with. Just don't expect the Ritz;)

Even 16-22 ways with rotating slots can prep you for bigger formations, and they are VERY cool to watch and to be on.

Thanks again for all your efforts last year Betsy, it was an awesome event, and I can't wait 'till this Christmas.

would you like to discuss them?

It always helps me make suggestions when I hear other peoples ideas.

Absolutely!
Here is one of the ideas...it has some complications but none that can't be worked out.

The best overall team.
Each team would compete in 3 rounds of the following disciplines RW,CRW, FF with each team having an experienced person.
1 member of Airspeed,1 from Frayed Knot and 1 from former AZ Freeflight.
The points will be accumulated with all teams having the same draw in the given disciple. The winner is determined by overall points. A prize will be awarded to teams placing 1-3.
Thats the concept...what do you think?

Awesome - talk about a "Triathalon" :D

Perhaps you might consider implimenting something similar in freestyle too?

Ok - yeah - I was there and saw one of the best - but damn that stuff is pretty.

I like this idea. Not that I have the skills to participate in something like this (yet), but for those who do, I think it would be a great learning experience. For those looking to compete or compete at a higher level, I think going through a competition with some of the big dogs would be a great help (and a lot of fun).

As far as things I would like to see...those big tracking dives at the end of the day last year were amazing.

I agree, those were some of the best jumps i did last year.:)
On the other idea, i would do it other than the crw part, something about that just weirds me out. Not to mention crw with a Xfire2 109:D

Well after 2 years of coming out to play and meeting everyone and having a miserable time (if you believe that I have some oceanfront property just to the East of the DZ I'll sell you:P:D)

I love doing the stuff with Craig and will be up for more this year although I promised Dennis I'd jump with him some too.

I also hope you'll get us rooms like previous years and plan other little social gatherings. Maybe a DZ.com evening in the bar (I agree with Sunny the smoke is nasty, but what's a girl to do???) with drink specials.

The competition sounds great too even though I'm afraid it would greatly exclude some of the newer jumpers. How about a 4 way comp with airspeed as the coach and 3 lower time jumpers? This way those who really want to play can in a more comfortable environment.

Thanks for all the good work and early planning, hon. Can't wait to see everyone.

Freefly coaching.....lots and lots of freefly coaching.....freefly bigway organizers......bigway flocks......atmonauti coaching.........the list goes on and on. B|

I think an advanced freefly seminar would be cool too. If I remember correctly, there was a beginners freely seminar last time....an advanced one would be excellent. :)
Oh, and somebody bring some freakin' orange juice, I don't wanna be sick like last time. B|:D
