Unstable 9 #28 July 19, 2004 0:3:0 I took three full loads of SL-ers up and Instructed them. I had to do my first actual short-line of a student - She was a girl who slipped off the step but held on with one hand, thus turning her 180 Deg so she was facing the tail of the airplane. I put my foot on the step to keep her from hitting her head on it as she fell off. Nasty exit, shook me up for a while.... =========Shaun ==========
themitchyone 0 #29 July 19, 2004 2: Did my first licensed jumps... tried a 3-way, but the two guys I was with blew right past me. vt1977 0 #34 July 19, 2004 :5:0 Crappy, crappy weather here in the UK again this weekend. What is with this shitty weather and where is the summer??? At least the jumps were half price this weekend! Managed 5 jumps inbetween weather holds. 3 on Saturday including a 4-way with Caz, a 6-way with Spike and a hop and pop at the end of the day! 2 jumps on Sunday - a 2-way with Gremlin and a coach jump with VampireGirl! My next jumps will be in Sweden and it looks like I'll do my 1,000th out of the Herc! Yeah baby!!!! Vicki

larsrulz 0 #41 July 19, 2004 0:10:1 Did my first tube for one of my coached sits. I don't think there was anything else....got a couple 3 point 10+ ways saturday. Sunday was doing some canopy work with the S&TA after the planned dives and kept landing 20+ feet off target, so I finally gave up and went home. Get to jump with Jay Stokes wednesday, so that should be fun! I got a strong urge to fly, but I got no where to fly to. -PF
happythoughts 0 #42 July 19, 2004 It was overcast on Saturday. I generally only jump when I can get full altitude. Sunday, it rained all day so I kicked the kids butts in video games.
Remster 30 #43 July 19, 2004 :8:2 8 cool mixed bag jumps: 3 PFFs, 1 16way, 1 8way, 3 2ways in a friendly 2 way RW competition to get the new jumpers involved (I did mine with a new student just off PFF with 8 jumps, and if I was a log-book-cheater, I'd log those jumps as PFFI jumps too lol). She's hooked on RW now. 2 movies seen for the 1st time: Spiderman2, which was quite good; and rented Bubba Hotep, what a weird, but fun and entertaining movie. Well worth $5.Remster
CanuckInUSA 0 #44 July 19, 2004 0:9:0 My jumping weekend was cut short (I only jumped on Saturday) due to a minor foot injury I suffered while swooping our swoop course in moderate downwind conditions. I managed to run out the landing, but the force exerted on my right ankle when I first touched down was hard enough to cause some sort of injury. You'd never know I was hurt if you just watched me land and walk away. But it is sore (and yes lessons were learned and it was more than just a don't downwind your landings lesson). Now I'm likely to miss volleyball this week, but I am optimistic that I will be back in the air next weekend. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

Dougiefresh 0 #46 July 19, 2004 500:3:4 500 miles driven. Madison to SDC to Chicago to O'Hare to SDC to Madison. 3 jumps: 4-way RW w/ 3 points, 2 solos Graduated AFP!!!! 1st 4-way 1st time jumping a 170 1st time jumping solo I realized on the drive home I smelled like jet exhaust. That made me very very happy. vdschoor 0 #49 July 19, 2004 :17:0 Nice funjump weekend, only did a couple of tandem videos and did all sorts of funjumps for the rest of the weekend.. My 90s are finally coming down to the point were my canopy doesn't plane out 30 feet above the ground anymore... I guess practice does make perfect eventually
Guest #50 July 19, 2004 0:3:2 3 jumps at Ralph's. Beer owed for first jump at new DZ, and jumping Ralph's DeHavilland Beaver. Never flown in a radial-powered plane ever. Flew with the door off. We had a fantastic view on the climb to altitude and the weather was perfect. Did a 3-way tracking dive with Amazon on her back with a cam. What a great dive. It was worth the wait. mh ."The mouse does not know life until it is in the mouth of the cat."
