Where do you buy pretty rings?

Recommended Posts

One of my guy friends wants to buy his girlfriend a pretty ring, so he asked me where he should go. No, it's not an engagement ring. He just wants to buy her a nice little gift. I don't really know where he can go. If you know a place online or in Chicago, that would be great! Thanks!

(Just for more info, he wants to buy her a ring with a peridot stone. She's probably 5'3" and pretty small framed. I have no idea of what ring size she would be.)
There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

im pretty sure ice.com sells peridot stones....and their prices are reasonable

also, any jeweler should sell other gemstones...i buy all my birthstone jewelry at helzberg, and i remember seeing a couple rings with that gemstone there!

(i searched peridot on helzberg's site for the heck of it and found some really pretty stuff!)
Oh Canada, merci pour la livraison!

Never done any ring shopping up in Chicago, but online jewelry shopping isn't always the best bet...just ask around for people who have recently purchased an engagement ring or the likes. Any jeweler will have peridot rings, as its a birthstone. As for ring size, the only way to be sure is to have him yoink a ring she rarely wears to get the size of it. The worst case he can either have it exchanged for the right size, or resized if it was a custom ring.

I got a strong urge to fly, but I got no where to fly to. -PF

No problem- its one of my favorite little stores, but I don't get there all that often.

I found their address- 4712 N. Lincoln Avenue
Chicago, Il 60625
(773)728-3600

There's actually a lot of cool shops on that block.

Ebay. I can look and look and look there; prices are good, and as long as you pay attention to feedbacks are are more interested in "pretty" than in pedigree it'd be my first choice.

Well, unless he wants to go to a store and have her try it on.
