Don't Drink and Drive

Recommended Posts

Nine days ago on Saturday night, my cousin and close friend went for a night out on the town. He was with two of his friends and there was no designated driver. They pulled in front of a tractor trailer sometime around 2:00 A.M. His friends (one who was driving) survived unscathed, freaked out and ran, leaving Pete for dead.
Pete is on life support, and his brain is slowly dying. Each time they run a brainscan, there is less activity. He has just over a 0% chance of survival, and the damage is such that if he were to survive, he would be a drooling imbecile.
Don't do this to your family and friends, they love you.
Pete is my friend , I love him,and I will miss him.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes!

Same here. A few month ago, a few of my friends were at the local club drinking beer. One of the lads decided it was home time for him and was planning on getting a taxi. Shaun, one of my friends, persuaded the other lad into getting a lift off him. As the proceeded down a main road (doing excessive speeds of what was apparently 90mph) he lost control hitting a thick stone wall. The car was torn in 2. Bradley, the passenger walked away with just minor injuries but shaun dies from massive internal bleeding. To be fair. I have drove after having a few pints but it makes you realise what can actually happen when someone close to you dies due to a mistake that could have been avoided.

:(
I'm SO sorry.
I never drink and drive, and I never stop trying to prevent people from doing it.
I've lost so many people to alcohol/drunk driving..
it's just not worth it.

That includes other perception-altering/physcially imparing substances that some skydivers seem so cavalier about ingesting in the name of "Freedom"...
