Casurf1978 0 #1 July 26, 2004 Sometimes its hard for me to understand how dumb and f-ing irresponsible people can be. Long story short some lady hit my car last night. After she hit my car she tried to leave but one other car kindof signaled for her to pull over, she did on a different street. Then my bud and I went to see if she was ok and do the general accident BS. First this b*&^h was on her cell phone and still talking when we went up. For some reason I decided to use my pic phone and snap a shot of her license plate and write it down on my hand. OK then she gets out of her car, while still on the phone, comes and takes a look at mine and says she'll be right back. It sounded fine to me, then she gets in her car and takes off. WTF!!! All this while my bud, three other witnesses and myself are just standing there. Never in my life have I wanted to literaly beat the crap out of someone like that bitch. I just dont understand some people sometimes. It's a hit and run thats what the cops said, but how bad is it. I mean is it just a slap on the hand or will she lose her license. Also since its a hit and run by default does that make it her fault.
mattjw916 2 #2 July 26, 2004 If you have the other witnesses information, her license and such, plus the police report, just turn the info over to your insurance and they will take care of it for you... They will pay to fix your car and hunt her down then file suit against her for you. That is why we pay all these ridulous premiums... I just hope you had comprehensive coverage. If you only had liability you might be out some cash until you track her down.NSCR-2376, SCR-15080
bch7773 0 #3 July 26, 2004 if nothing else the cops can get her for leaving the scene of an accident. yeah thats probably just gonna be a slap on the wrist, but it coulda been worse. what if you hadn't been smart and taken a picture of her license plate? then you wouldn't even know who this woman was. lawrocket 3 #4 July 26, 2004 That's a criminal act here in Cali. She just dug herself a hole. If damage is highenough, it could rise to a felony. Let's hope the car wasn't stolen... My wife is hotter than your wife.
PhillyKev 0 #5 July 26, 2004 Someone hit and ran me once. Slammed into me, looked at me, and then floored it. I chased them, got the plate, pulled up next to him, got a look at him, and then called the police. 2 months later got a subpoena to testify against him in criminal court for hit and run. The guy had a CDL for work and if found guilty would lose it. Made a deal between DA, his attorney and me whereby he paid for my repairs, plus another grand for my inconvenience, and I would drop the complaint. He paid my on the spot. fireflytx 0 #6 July 26, 2004 A hit & Run is the worst. I was going home from a bar one night and some jackass decides to sideswipe my car. We both pulled over, my two friends and myself get out and he takes off. I get back in my car leaving my friends on the streets of downtown Allentown PA REALLY BAD NEIGHBORHOOD. I play high speed chase while calling 911, and reciting the numbers of his plate and streets I was screaming by. He finally stopped didn't speak English so he doesn't understand a thing I am screaming at him (It wasn't anything nice) Best part I just got done doing a fire show and my face was a painted up in some sort of evil manner. Cops finally got to us the %&$#*$$ jerk was drunk as hell with an open bottle of Crown in the car. So they arrested him and I got the insurance info. What really sucks is my car was screwed up but still driveable and I was moving to Texas a week after that. UUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGHHHHH What a pain, so I move and then find out the bastard has no insurance. SO I had to pay to fix my damage minus my detuctible. I could have sued him but going back to PA a bunch of time would have cost just as much as I paid to fix the thing. I really hate some people."Well behaved women rarely make history"
