Vallerina 2 #1 July 26, 2004 I love beer (as long as its darker than my skin color), but I've been craving champagne for the past month or so. Let's take a moment to discuss this wonderful substance! 1) Why isn't this a more popular drink? Why can't I order it at most bars? 2) What is the best cheap champagne out there? My vote is for Ballatore! 3) What's the expensive champagne (Cristal) really like? I'm craving champagne again!!!There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
kelel01 1 #2 July 26, 2004 The reason it's not more popular (for getting people drunk, anyway) is that it is known to create the worst hangovers ever. ESPECIALLY cheap champagne. I had the second worst hangover of my life on New Year's Day 2000. It is a really fun drunk, though. Kelly
IMGR2 0 #3 July 26, 2004 I prefer a really good red wine.

I'm craving champagne again!!! 1) its fucking horrible and too expensive 2) I'd rather drink baby cham 3) I have only tried Bolly or M&C and they still taste like crap and give a stinking head ache! You cant beat a nice decent red wine or Belgium Beer............
Vallerina 2 #5 July 26, 2004 Yuck! I don't like red wine!!!! I don't think I've ever been able to drink an entire glass of red wine! And, Kelly, I haven't noticed any nasty hangovers, but now I can blame my poor skydiving on drinking too much champagne the night before! Remster 30 #6 July 26, 2004 QuoteI love beer (as long as its darker than my skin color), So Coors Light is still acceptable? As far as champagne, did I mentioned I have an uncle who has vines in the Champagne area? Remster
Vallerina 2 #7 July 26, 2004 QuoteSo Coors Light is still acceptable? Coors Light was only acceptable in high school when we'd steal it from our older brothers! (It's summer, I can finally weed out beers using my arm.) QuoteAs far as champagne, did I mentioned I have an uncle who has vines in the Champagne area? Did I mention that I still hate you? And, yes, you have bragged about that to me once or twice...or five times. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

aprilcat 0 #9 July 26, 2004 http://www.imperialchampagne.com/cic-2.htm It probably still tastes crappy after the second glass and give you a head-splitter in the morning. Champagne is just TOO tricky. A nice full-bodied red works with practically anything~~April Camelot II, the Electric Boogaloo!
nacmacfeegle 0 #10 July 26, 2004 Best cheap Champagne....Cuvee Nappa is an acceptable cheapo, we (my SO and I) get through quite a lot of it. Medium priced, my option is Veuve Clicquot. Really expensive....your guess is as good as mine. I disagree with thebad hangovers and Champagne thingie. The worst hangover I have ever had was from cheap French beer, and have never had a bad hangover when only drinking champers.-------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me. And I still don't understand the thing about the evil hangovers. I've never gotten one from champagne. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Vallerina 2 #15 July 26, 2004 QuoteMaybe you need to be versed in the correct way to consume red wine. Nah. I don't like it, and I don't feel the need to try and like it! It won't do me any good if I like it.There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
IMGR2 0 #16 July 26, 2004 You are correct. Now that I think about it, champagne might be much more enjoyable for what I am thinking about. The bubbles could be tingly!
Lindsey 0 #17 July 26, 2004 I LOVE champagne/OJ---brainlocking and can't come up with what it's called --for brunch. Ahhhhhhhh. But I'm not nearly cultured enough to know good champagne from not-so-good. May have to develop that taste one day.... linz-- A conservative is just a liberal who's been mugged. freeflybella 0 #22 July 26, 2004 I agree re: the horrible hangovers! I generally despise champagne however...I had a dixie cup sized glass of a vintage of Dom Perignon ($350/bottle) that I LOVED!!! EricaH 0 #23 July 26, 2004 Bout hang overs, fri night i drank liquor & then beer = horrid hangover Saturday. Sat night I drank: 2 glasses champagne 4 glasses sweet white whine a big bottle of TGI friday's pre-mixed white russion (12.5% alco) and 2 glasses of a vodka/sprite drink I had ABSOLUTELY no hangover on Sunday... I gotta start mixing it up more often - thank you Val for the inspiration There is no can't. Only lack of knowledge or fear. Only you can fix your fear.
