RoadRash 0 #1 July 28, 2004 CAUTION!!!! Rant ahead...and some funny shit...... I have been working at the local zoo gift shop and volunteering time with animals to get some experience as a zookeeper. Unfortunately, thanks to a recent policy change, I can no longer volunteer while I am an employee in the gift shop......So I make do by doing some observation work for and with the zookeepers...... Well, a senior zookeeper and I had a conversation this morning that proved to me that I am a complete idiot who needs to grow some balls...... She asked me if I was a student at Purdue and what I was studying...and after telling her that I was an anthropology major with some primate classes she informed me that I should have put in an application to be a seasonal zookeeper because I had more experience with the animals than any of the seasonal zookeepers that were hired......The only reason I didn't put in an application is because I didn't think I was qualified...... Then, my day gets better......3 kids had screaming fits...2 had temper tantrums where one beat his head against the wall...and one child stole 4 pieces of candy......in front of me... And you are asking how it gets better...here it is...: A 16 yr. old guy with his younger brothers walks in and pick up some stuff to buy and walk up to the register... I ring him up and then I realize that the entire transaction the guy was staring at my boobs......while his brothers were wandering around the store...I looked straight into his eyes...square my shoulders and say,"How big do you think they are?" I have never seen a tanned white boy turn that red in my entire life......He paid, sheepishly smiled, walked out and at this point I started laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes...
