Vertifly 0 #35 August 1, 2004 My dentist has a procedure that they do... it takes about 1 1/2 hours and costs $500. Three parts to the procedure: Serious cleansing, the bleaching, and a protective layer for upkeep. Rinsing with an extra fluid (for an added $50) will keep it looking good - whatever. The system seems like it is geared for the seriously neglectful types. However, it's probably the safest way to go. I spoke to Clark at X-Keys (he's a dentist who tells it like it is...lol). He mentioned that it was a great process, but you have to keep going back every two years for your teeth to stay good. I decided against it based on this point. Hope this helps a little. Rdy2skydive 0 #36 August 1, 2004 I had my teeth bleached at a Brite Smile location in NYC this past February. It cost $525.00 plus another $125.00 for the toothpaste and mouthwash to maintain the whiteness. My teeth are nice and white but are so damned sensitive now - a side effect I was not aware of til after the fact. They always hurt to the point where I actually regret having it done. But they look great so I guess that's all that matters.
Pia 0 #37 August 1, 2004 I spent £150 after I gave up smoking to have my teeth bleached! PAINFUL **Those who refuse to live and learn simply exist**

I bought a tube of Fluoride gel (1.1%) from my dentist that I use after I use my bleaching molds that I also got there. After you take the molds out and brush your teeth as usual, you then put the fluroide on your teeth for at least 5 minutes either with your finger or a small baby toothbrush. I swear to you, it takes all the sensitivity away. She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
 blondeflyer7 0 #42 August 2, 2004 QuoteQuoteRednecks never bleach their teeth. Every now and then my gums will get abrasions. That's the only time I feel the discomfort while bleaching. My gums are very healthy, so usually I don't have any sensitivity. _________________________________________ Chris
 Prev 1 2 Next Page 2 of 2 Join the conversation You can post now and register later.
