Where Do These Come From?

Recommended Posts

I don't have a television so I'm not always up on the origin of some of the popular expressions. Not that they all come from TV, but I hear them often enough and from different people (including wuffo's) that they must come from some sort of mass media.

So where did "asshat" start. I love that one!
And what about "My bad"

Oh, I had a bunch of them but can't think right now.

Does anyone know? And are there any other ones you want to know about?

I think "my bad" was originally a phrase in ebonics.

I believe "my bad" was actually popularized and started by Manute Bol when he'd make a mistake. He'd own up by saying, "My bad" and it kinda spread from there...

I like writing it as âss or a "unit vector in the ass direction"

Dork. Made me laugh, but that's cuz I'm a dork too. :)
