ryoder 1,590 #26 August 4, 2004 Quote Nowadays, even the Simpsons is disappointing since they are more focused on the gag. They still have their moments, e.g. Their TV is on and an announcer is reading the news: "The Department of Homeland Security has just raised the terror alert level from yellow to orange, which, as always, means absolutely nothing.""There are only three things of value: younger women, faster airplanes, and bigger crocodiles" - Arthur Jones. skydivegirl 0 #27 August 4, 2004 Has anyone seen Home Movies? I only saw one episode when it was being aired on the Cartoon Network's Adult Swim. The one I saw was funny as hell!!!! ... but it's not on anymore. Pink Mafia Sis #
Slowfaller 0 #28 August 5, 2004 it is skydivegirl! Sunday nights, probably repeats but I've been watching that everyweek for a while. Agreed, that show cracks me up, especially the disenchanted coach mcgirch(sp?) Guest #29 August 5, 2004 QuoteMy wife and I still sing "Flight of the Valkyries"as "Kill Da Wabbit" thanks to Elmer Fudd. "What's Opera, Doc?"...a Chuck Jones Classic. You haven't lived until you've seen a bunch of Warners classics all in the same place - IN A THEATER! I saw the Chuck Jones tour back in 1989 ("Chuck Amuck"), and MY FACIAL MUSCLES ACHED from laughing so hard... That would be an excellent screening at Rantoul, BTW... mh . ps - If you've got an opportunity, check out the "Spike & Mike" animation tour. The spousal unit and I watched it at the UW in 1995. There was a screening of Nick Park's claymation classic "The Wrong Trousers" included that year - it brought the house down. BTW - that year's tour included an apoplexy-inducing short called "Dirty Burdy". I swear I've never laughed so hard in my entire life..."The mouse does not know life until it is in the mouth of the cat."
