My sister and her husband take their Luscombe there each year....camp out under the wing and have a wonderful time! (that's not a picture of -their- plane, but theirs looks -just- like it.) ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

airtwardo 7 #8 August 9, 2004 Thanks~ Cool Story.... Later in the week at EAA, we're jumping out of an Air Van. We have 5 people in it just cruising around at 5500' waiting for our time slot, after the War Birds. Been orbiting about 20 minutes with another 15 to go. I'm facing the rear of the plane, back up against the pilots seat and of course we're all shooting the bull... I look straight back... and am getting the personal airshow of a lifetime! "Bull Dog' in his 500hp Pitts is playing just spittin' distance from our bird... as we wave and smile, Patty Wagstaff comes up on the other side INVERTED! And starts copying Bull Dog's moves...upside-down that is! They were to circle the flag guy and me on our way down... and must have been getting as bored as we were. I HAVE to invest in a helmet cam... Patty and I had eye contact when I exited, I gave her a quick salute...she returned it with a wing wag! UNFORGETABLE! ~ If you choke a Smurf, what color does it turn? ~

ltdiver 3 #12 August 9, 2004 Picture attached: You can though see the green grass that was under my sister's plane. In the attached (cropped) picture - the purple line surrounds where their plane was. The red line surrounds the Antique Grand Champion Jenny - Flown by someone from the airport where they keep their plane. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
