TARANTINO.

Yeah, I'm making room on my shelf for the DVD's of these movies when released, they'll be next to my Reservoir dogs, Pulp Fiction, From Dusk Till Dawn and Jackie Brown DVD's. :)

Not trying to hijack the thread but, Desperado was pretty good also.

Kill bill is going to piss many a "average" movie goer off. I heard a room of groans when it ended today. I think it will appeal to those who like T's movies and the different genres he was spoofing on. I predict it will take it in the pants at the box office though. Lots of action and blood:D

Bwaahhhahahaha!
ROTFLMFAO!!!!!:D:D:D
Gimp was hacked at LOTR Pt-1 for the same reason. Many movie go-ers giving strange looks to the one monkey laughing hysterically at the cussing monkey after teh lights came up. Still, samuri night meets spagetti western = cool movie. Can't wait for teh next one. Well, time to blow something up and hop in the hot tub!

Interesting flick which is more than I can say for 90% of everything else that's ever been on the screen.

I don't really care if you like or don't like the cartoonish violence or whatever, you owe it to yourself to see the movie on the big screen. A LOT of what happened in that movie is not going to translate to a smaller screen -- ever -- no matter how good a home theater system you have.

Does it have its flaws? Yes, definately, but I don't care.

Definately worth the money just to see something that interesting.

I just saw this tonight, Ivan. I can't help but agree with everything you said.

Funny Story:

The part of the movie where she chops the kid's sword up who was scared shitless in the dark room? Know what I mean...anyway, the reel fucked up, and the movie just stopped right there, right in the middle of one of her swings. Anyway, like half the theatre got up and left thinking Tarantino was just being an asshole and decided to end Volume One in the middle of a scene. I knew that wasn't the end, so my friends and I stayed and got to see the phenominal fight scene between Uma and Lucy.

Anywho, bottom line: Even if you know nothing about this movie, go see it...anyone (who isn't easily offended) would like it.

There is lots of blood but it is used in a comic fashion so as not to be the slightest bit of believable. Think Monty pythonesque use of blood and the flesh wound;)

I wasn't thinking of it in a negative sense. I'm a fan of Tarantino's stuff. Can't wait to see it.

Great movie - I enjoyed the ending. If you loved Samurai Sunday's growing up, this is going to be one hell of a flick for you.

Couple of items:
1) Since it was Tarantino flick, I was half expecting a punch line in most of the dialog, but he toned it down alot. Once I got used to that, I understood the pacing better.

2) I loved the ending.
2a) I loved the Darth Vader nod with the Bruce Lee twist!

3) I knew the crowd wasn't going to like the movie when I was one of the only ones that laughed during the opening "SCOPE" sequence. It was an 8pm showing and I think I was one of the oldest there....that could be part of it.

4) I found myself laughing as much as I cringed during the fight scene. I also realized I was one of the only ones laughing.

5) Amazing fights! All without Matrix style to them!

6) This is a classic movie, I can't wait for Vol2 in Feb. I can see why he split this movie in half - it would have been a lot to take in all at once. I get discounted movie tickets thru my job, I may go see this one again in 10 days when those tickets are valid.

That's the beauty of this flick, I mean, if you watched animations such as Aeon Flux and ones like that, you EXPECT BLOOD to fly that way.

I went to an early show (1PM) and the theater was half full (usually only 4 people go at that time) and I presume we were all T's fans because we were laughing and cheering to the 'key' scenes, I tell you, it was a lot of fun.
