airtwardo 7 #1 August 10, 2004 Our demo team did the EAA AirVenture Oshkosh air show again this year. We were contacted by one of the local EAA chapters from Oshkosh a few months ago. They were having an auction of items offered by many of the regular air show performers... They asked if we might by chance have anything that might be of interest, and I suggested a Tandem jump given by and performed by a member of our team at the local dropzone prior to or after the actual show sometime that week. The 'winner' was a 72 year old "little old lady" that really wanted to go! "I didn't bid on it to give it away" she said, so we took her. A bit of hype, and of course the required photos and video were in the mix. I'll NEVER forget this kindly old grandma's first comment after doing quite well in the air and a perfect stand up landing. How did you enjoy your first skydive the Video girl asks.. Looking stratght into the camera granny says: "Why it was just wonderful.... almost as much fun as GARDENING!"
