Antonov 72, as seen at the Espace Boogie B|

WOW! 68-skydivers to 15,000ft in 8 MINUTES! Super-COOL B|*

going there tomorrow.... to jump the AN72 and the Beech 99.
Last week jumped a JU52 and an AN2...
Not my "regular" best but a highly emotional day.
FYI there are 5 JU52 flying in the world, and we have 4 in SWITZ...

My regular favorites are :
Porters from Flying Devil
Twin Otter from Empuriabrava (and the other ones they have for the boogies there, minus maybe the french one which is "slow" and noisy).

Hope to soon jump the [pink]Pink Skyvan[/pink] before it stops flying.

(Like their Steroid Twin Otter where I have to hang onto the seat in three places. )

Do tell??????

Just a Twin Otter with the engine upgrades. It was fresh back from the shop this Spring. You know how normally when it's time to take seatbelts off and slide a bit it's a good thing? I dislike taking my seatbelt off in this plane because it's the only thing that holds me in place without effort. After the obligatory unclipping, I brace both feet in separate bench supports, lean way the heck toward the nose, and hold on.

At least they level us out for jump run. :)

i love the Crosskeys Skyvan... it's fast, roomy and i LOVE the exit!!

It's been my impression that ALL women love Skyvans, but the reason why has nothing to do with speed, roominess, or the exit. ;)

The skyvan, ranks right up there, but my all time favorite has to be a Jolly Green Giant. Nice big helicopter with a ramp!

Art -

Have you actually jumped from one of those?

By the way, I think you'd be hard pressed to find an aviator in any service willing to admit he flies a "Jolly Green Giant" - ;)

Clicky

Cheers -

The Russian made MI-8 helicopter at the Acapulco boogie a few years ago was cool. Two dozen jumpers to 13,000, then hop off the ramp. A tailgate and a helo all in one!B|

Two dozen? That's a light load for a Mi-8. In Finland we had 40 on board for competition (seat belted) and 60 for the lake jumps (standing NY subway style with one hand on the ceiling). These days I'd rather be flying one though. For airplanes I really like a CASA - the exit is very reminiscent of the Mi-8.
