jtval 0 #26 August 14, 2004 I read somewhere that most SUV's have an HIGH flip ratio to side impact accidents. there was a list of how each stood against a side impact. MANY flip easy.(which may account for why there are so many side impact airbags etc...My photos My Videos

That's true of most high vehicles, their COG is raised much higher and when standard "lower vehicles hits them side on the pretty much just get shovelled up and flip over. Possibly the worst vehicle you could get with "Child SAFETY" as the reason. Much better to get a well built Station Wagon (don't know what Yanks call them) or a nice big 4 door sedan. The crumple zones and airbags are built with family safety in mind, 4x4s are not.You are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! How's yours doing? Ron 10 #28 August 14, 2004 As soon as I can I am ditching my 2001 Mustang GT. 83,000 miles (I drive a lot) I have had two transmissions. The coil went bad. Throttle idle sensor went. Left front brake locked up. The paint is falling off the bumper. The leather seat is ripping already. The car is fast...but I am sick of it. The dealer knows me by name...Its like when Norm walks into the bar on Cheers. airtwardo 7 #30 August 14, 2004 Fix Or Repair Daily... Fuckin' Old Rebuild Dodge... Found On Road Dead... Fear Of Random Death... Fuck Off! Rustbucket Dealer... We have a '01 "Exploder" that has 50,000 miles... 2nd engine (short block) 3rd fuel pump 2 replaced Aluminum wheels because they couldn't balance them after replacing the defective recalled tires. Drivers door lock (guts) has been replaced Rear Wiper only works when the headlights are OFF...(part of elect. problem that's burning out the fuel pumps) And the A/C has been completly serviced 2X and STILL barely works..; When I took it in for the first oil change after the 'new' engine...they had to pull the motor mounts, and re-set the engine because the oil filter was up against the frame. NEVER FUCKING AGAIN!!!!! And the worst part is... gotta hang onto the bitch because they are WORTHLESS in trade! Can't swing a dead cat around here without hitting someone trying to almost GIVE theirs away!!!! The cool part is hitting the "Panic" button on the anti-theft package at the airport parking garage... and hearing like 20 different horns going off at once! ~ If you choke a Smurf, what color does it turn? ~
