Michele 1 #1 August 16, 2004 In this thread, I asked for some help making the transition to my new office, specifically regarding assistance with understanding and selecting technology. I received a pm from a DZ.commer, who offered an used - but perfectly useable - Palm Pilot...at the low low cost of free. I took possession of it this afternoon, and couldn't be happier (fine, I'm a bit confused, but I'll learn how to use it eventually...) and I feel more confident going to my office tomorrow. You know, after the last months, with all it's difficulties, lies, rumors and bullshit, and especially after this last month and week, I really was doubting myself. But the DZ.com family, for the most part, is an amazing source of friendship and camraderie, and today, a typical gesture of generosity from one of you just made a huge difference to me... And so thanks, you unnamed dotcommer; I'll take you on a jump and buy you a beer next time I see you.... And to the rest who've held out their hands to me, took me to lunch, wrote me long pm's from boogies, came to dinner with me, called my office, emailed or sent me cards in snailmail, and generally made sure I knew I wasn't alone, that true, real friendship was known, thank you, too.
