SBS 0 #1 August 15, 2004 So, I spent yesterday sitting around and waiting for weather to clear at the DZ. Finally, it did, then came back in, then cleared, then came back in, etc. Did 8 tandems, though, and a fun jump. Middle of the day, work calls and says that I have to go to Kansas City. No making skydives and extra money for me today... So, we leave from San Francisco, and the pilot is kind enough to fly us right over the drop zone so that I can see exactly how clear and beautiful a day it is. Now at least I know what I'm missing while I sit in the airport... Gotta board my plane now. -S_____________ I'm not conceited...I'm just realistic about my awesomeness... rjackson 0 #8 August 16, 2004 QuoteRandy -- How are you and yours doing down there? How'd your home hold up in the storm? Work? We made it through ok and no damage but people 20 miles to the east didn't come out so well. Power is still out of a lot of people. Gas is hard to get for the autos etc. I had full tanks on all of my cars so I'll be ok. WDW did ok lots of trees down signs etc. No show stoppers. 30 percent of the cast "called in" on saturday so they sent out the word and a bunch of us ended up working in the parks. For about six hours I was making ice cream sundays at the Magic Kingdom. Funny stuff. The big take away out of all of this is you shouldn't trust the forcasters and you cant be perpared enough. How is California and Perris? I assume we were all over the news out there.--------------------------------------------- Randy
