mr2mk1g 10 #1 August 16, 2004 ...at Bristol's Balloon Fiesta (see link). Over my house no less. There were also demo jumps into the Balloon fiesta from a helicopter. I was tempted to go along with my rig and see if I could join in. Last weekend there was a harbour festival here where demo jumpers deliberately ditched in the harbour. All things being well I should be involved with the next demo the city sees. http://www.thisisbristol.com/displayNode.jsp?command=newPage&nodeId=144912&contentPK=10766369

mattjw916 2 #3 August 16, 2004 I would have at least done a "victory jump" since I was already up there... why waste the trip to altitude? NSCR-2376, SCR-15080

skymama 37 #5 August 17, 2004 I was at my parent's house when the footage came on the news. My mom commented about how "crazy" that man was. I said, "Mom, he has a rig on." She said, "yes, but he's blindfolded!" I repeated again, "Mom, he has a rig on! It's no different than the balloon jump that I did if he falls off." It took her a few seconds for it to sink in with her before she said, "well, you're crazy too." She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
