FrogNog 1 #2 August 18, 2004 Get some more money and buy a 182. Some pilots here can probably give you details on which year you want so you can get the cool factory features, and what aftermarket stuff you really want - like wingtip extensions and the more powerful engine. -=-=-=-=- Pull. sdctlc 0 #3 August 18, 2004 With that amount of money your limited probably to a '50's model 182. A few of them in the Classifieds section here http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/classifieds/page.cgi?g=Aircraft%2Findex.html&d=1 Scott C."He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!" AggieDave 6 #4 August 18, 2004 Hey, those '50's models are pretty sweet. '56 182 is a narrow body with a taller gear. That means it has less weight, it climbs faster and you have more room out on the step. Not a bad combo, sure its a tad more cramped for 4 people in the plane (plus pilot), but it makes it up in climb rate and room on the step.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
