Douva 0 #54 August 17, 2004 Quoteyeah i'd like to know when that'll be too so i can be sure to watch and see if they make any comments (26%) You mean comments like, "Florida is demanding a recount after 'Skydiving' jumped from a dismal last place showing with only 3% of the vote to the front runner position with a whopping 25% of the vote in only THREE AND A HALF HOURS, yesterday?" --Douva EDITED TO ADD: CNBC's Squawkbox airs at the following times: 7:00am-10:00am EST 6:00am-9:00am CST 5:00am-8:00am MST 4:00am-7:00am PST EDITED AGAIN TO ADD: If you haven't already voted, you should still vote so that we can hold the lead. If you consider yourself a fairly eloquent writer, be sure you also send Squawkbox a brief email explaining your position.I don't have an M.D. or a law degree. peacefuljeffrey 0 #57 August 18, 2004 Quotew00t! up to 4%! C'mon people, vote vote! As much as we all want skydiving to win, I don't think it will. I just looked and voted: skydiving is LEADING with a plurality 28% -- five percent higher than the next leading choice! BTW, motocross would be stupid to add to the Olympics. For one thing, it's already in the X-Games -- which kick the shit out of the Olympics anyway -- and for another, it's not really "athletic" in the same sense as gymnastics, skating, snowboarding, skiing, boxing, etc. It's on a fucking motorized vehicle for chrissakes! The Olympics is realizing (slooooowly) that their events are outdated and boring. Besides which, the huge moneymaking machine that is the Olympics is so fraught with corruption and greed that it sickens me to even think about watching it. And what's with all the piece of shit CHEATERS trying to get in while using steroids and banned stimulants?! Is this the character and moral fiber of "world class athletes" -- "win at all costs, even if you have to cheat to do it"? I guess advertising contracts mean more to these people than self-esteem does. I spit on them and the Olympics. I hope skydiving does NOT get added to the Olympics, now that I think about it, and I'm sorry I added a vote for it. That would just cheapen and sully skydiving. --Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"

I wonder how we'd explain so many of the things we do in skydiving? "No. They're just called 'cheater' grips. It's perfectly legal!" Then overheard in the background comes the call from manifest, "does anybody know what time it is? 4:19? Got a minute?" "No, seriously, it -was- a mandatory safety meeting!"quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
