Yeah, I just seriously didn't get it (well, at first).

But that's one of those quotes that's so abrasive, that it's kind of powerful. Some people just can't see past the end of their noses.

Sorry guys, both of you've got it wrong. So neither spelling is accepted. Since Auswitch is a proper name, there is only one right way to spell it.

The correct spelling for the name of the place is Auschwitz. As a proof you might look at the official polish website (also in English) of the museum they have there.
