ChasingBlueSky 0 #1 August 22, 2004 Was just watching the news - they mentioned that one member of the Golden Knights was "blown off course" and landed in Lincoln Park instead of on the beach! They quoted a total of 2 million spectators over the last two days, not sure how many were there today._________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... ChasingBlueSky 0 #3 August 22, 2004 Chicago. I think they were supposed to land at Montrose Harbor, which would put them from 1/4 to one mile off target depending on where they were supposed to set down._________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... Chicago - today (and yesterday) was the annual lakefront airshow.... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.
ChangoLanzao 0 #5 August 23, 2004 Sure sounds like a bad spot to me. Cindy from the Mayor's office seems kinda clueless too ;-) "His joke was that he saw the lagoon, and he thought it looked like a good place to land," said Cindy Gatziolis, a spokeswoman for the Mayor's Office of Special Events." "Luckily, he didn't land on Lake Shore Drive," Gatziolis said. [url "http://www.suntimes.com/output/news/cst-nws-air23.html"]CLICKY [url]

I will have to give her a call and tease her on that one. She isn't clueless, to be honest....or she wasn't when I worked with her._________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me....
