oops! GK bad spot!

Recommended Posts

Was just watching the news - they mentioned that one member of the Golden Knights was "blown off course" and landed in Lincoln Park instead of on the beach! They quoted a total of 2 million spectators over the last two days, not sure how many were there today.

Chicago.

I think they were supposed to land at Montrose Harbor, which would put them from 1/4 to one mile off target depending on where they were supposed to set down.

So where the hell is Lincoln Park? What beach? What city?

Chicago - today (and yesterday) was the annual lakefront airshow.

Sure sounds like a bad spot to me. ;)

Cindy from the Mayor's office seems kinda clueless too ;-)

"His joke was that he saw the lagoon, and he thought it looked like a good place to land," said Cindy Gatziolis, a spokeswoman for the Mayor's Office of Special Events."

"Luckily, he didn't land on Lake Shore Drive," Gatziolis said. :D

HA! I used to work with Cindy when I was in talk radio! I will have to give her a call and tease her on that one. She isn't clueless, to be honest....or she wasn't when I worked with her.
