ELOY or BRAZIL

Recommended Posts

There's a major boogie around new year's near Florianopolis, in the southern state of Santa Catarina. It's a beautiful city, in a part of the country where the weather is very temperate in the summer.

I was in S. Paulo last Christmas, and wanted to make a jump the following weekend. All of the local DZ's planes were at the boogie -- it's quite major. I'd have to say go. Really

I've never skydived in Brazil, but have been there and must say it is freaking awesome! There's something about a suco acai in the morning after a nice jog that just can't be beat. Or jog be damned, just a suco acai. Rio is OK, but the countryside is Brazil's true treasure. Go down to the Iguazu cataracts if you like waterfalls - they kick the hell out of Niagra and Victoria falls. If you get the chance, go down to Brazil and tour the hell out of it. It kicks ass even without skydiving. With skydiving - oooooh shit it must REALLY kickass!

Florianopolis boogie, I have heard of that. We go to Floripa to visit every few years when we are in Brasil. Alysse has cousins and a brother there. But this christmas week looks like we will go to an aunts farm in pantanal mato grosso, we've never been there before.

But we are open to anything fun!

Hey JT,

I was thinking about going to Brazil to jump at some point. But I was thinking of going in March because there is usually a boogie in Rio around then. Where can i get more info on the boogie you are talking about? How far from Rio is it?

I definitely want to jump in brazil too. If you are planning a trip let me know, post a thread ;)I bet something sort of big will come of it, if youipost in advance. ( i was trying to plan an AFRICA trip, but the whoole thing fell apart for now)

Go to Brazil mano!!!

Myself, Superwoman and Beavdog went to Brazil last year. I grew up there so it was home for me, but they had a blast. Are you thinking of going to the Boogie in Buzios or over Christmas? Keep in touch cause I'll be going back down there again this year for some more jumping, probably around Christmas, I too am deciding to either go to the X-mas boogie or to Brazil.

Yes, Jake is right! South American women are incomparable...:D

Just kidding...I am only saying that because I am South American. :P

I do agree, though, that if you are choosing between Eloy and/or Brazil or Argentina, then you should plan a trip down to South America! It is always wonderful to explore a new culture. Let us know your decision & please post tons of pics, JT! :)

No, not true. I was born in South America and am 100% Peruvian. When we first came to the United States, I lived in New York, but now I have lived in California for most of my life. :)

Mmmmmm......100% Peruvian......

And you speak such good English too. ;)

Sorry Deuce, I'm going to have to call bullshit on this one. Brazil and Argentina are both wonderful countries, and well worth visiting when one is a young, single, skydiving man. Especially since that's the middle of summer and the beaches will be full of young women in bikinis. Very small bikinis. I've been to Eloy, Brazil, and Argentina. Each should be experienced

'nuff said?

Stop teasing me, Patrick...geez! I'll send you a PM...I am fluent in both English and Spanish. Yes, I learned Spanish first.

Btw, my family does have a home in Peru in Miraflores beach, although we can only go about once a year. I became a US citizen at age 14, but I actually have dual citizenship.

Sorry for the hi-jack, JT! Go South! Go South! It is so cool to experience a summer holiday season. :)
