turtlespeed 226 #1 August 23, 2004 I have been working so fast that a field was generated around me, my cubicle, and my computer that showed a 15 minute time variance. We all know that as you approach the speed of light - time slows down. three weeks ago, I set my Computers clock by the local radio station, tv station, some internet dealy whopper web site and my grandfather - who always knows what time it is. All of them were within 1 minute of each other. Now my clock reads 15 minutes and 37 seconds slower than all of those times - So I have concluded that I have been working too fast and deserve a raise. I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama BTR #1 / OTB^5 Official #2 / Hellfish #408 / VSCR #108/Tortuga/Orfun

I don't think it's that dire. PC clocks have never been particularly accurate, and certain applications (usually games) can really mess with the time. So Turtle...what have you been playing.....er, I mean doing?
tspillers 0 #11 August 24, 2004 If your computer at work crashes, we are taking you off the network at the DZ. We will have to determine that it is you I am not totally useless, I can be used as a bad example.

I really think it is the speed at which my fingers are doing this typing thing - - not even the memory on the dcomputer can keep up and it gets confused and inserts characters and spaces where it thinks is appropriate.I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama BTR #1 / OTB^5 Official #2 / Hellfish #408 / VSCR #108/Tortuga/Orfun

PurpleWill 1 #16 August 24, 2004 I am responsible, among other things, for backup prosesses on a couple of servers, it's a constant source of stress. I love it though when users lose data because they trusted the hard drive in their laptop or desktop. It's like, -ha, you ignored my email - nobody ignores my emails and gets away with it. About the time, it might just be the battery starting to go and might not be linked to the speed of work or software at all. Just a shot in the dark. There is a lot of stuff worth doing but then there is a lot of stuff worth doing instead.
