Hearing protection?

Recommended Posts

Sure do. I can hear conversations in the airplane just about as well as without.

Even when mowing the yard (although I'll admit I don't mow it much any more :)

There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. (tbrown)

On a related note, always and I mean always wear hearing protection when going to a rock concert. I went to see Hoobastank over the summer...I couldn't hear anything for two days....which kinda didn't help me when I got pulled over that night because the police officer kept having to yell really loud to overcome the ringing in my ears though I got off with a warning.:)

There has to be a reason for protection- right?[:/]

And that reason is that it is LOUD!
I want to take a (loudometer:D) what do you call those sound masuring devises with me on a cessna load. and in free fall - just to see how much damage I'm doing.

I bought like 200 pairs and now I forget that they are there.[:/]

Started wearing them after about fifty jumps, very seldom don't wear them now. But, then again, back several DC-3 loads a day can get real rough on the hearing. I can still hear my wife after 7700 airplane rides, that can be a good thing or a bad thing.
