BikerBabe 0 #26 August 25, 2004 Hard is the life of the fan of a mid-major school. Caught in an endless catch-22 of scheduling, ridiculed by the Big 10s and SECs of the world, never receiving their due come bowl time...tis a hard road to play for a mid-major school. I'm becoming more and more disenchanted with college football, especially with what happened to my team last year. They were the best mid-major in the country, and the one team that would have made a good bowl game wimped out because they were afraid to lose to a team from the MAC. Miami of Ohio could have played hard in any of the BCS bowls last year. BCS sucks. Until there's a playoff, I don't know how much more of college football I can stand.Never meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup! Kennedy 0 #27 August 25, 2004 What's your beef with Clemson? My blood runneth orange by relation, and I've got to say, it was a LOT of fun being in the stands chanting "We got the better BOW-DEN." So he meant to loose the game. Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. That's one explenation. Oh, and Pajarito: I love AUburn, but that's only because it's Clemson without the lake. ps - GO TERPS !!!!witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

2fat2fly 0 #29 August 25, 2004 QuoteWhat's your beef with Clemson? I live 8 miles from the campus, so I OD on orange pretty early in the year. And, my home DZ is Flying Tigers so it gives me something to yank the chains of the college kids with. In all honesty, I don't really follow ACC football that much. I do pull for USC in the rivalry game just because the cocks are SEC.I am not the man. But the man knows my name...and he's worried
RevJim 0 #30 August 25, 2004 The closest I ever got to the Huskers was driving by in my semi hauling cars. Am I a Husker fan? You bet I am! My father was stationed at Offit AFB south of Omaha in the early 60's. He and his buddies from the base went to a number of games. He's been a fan ever since, and it rubbed off. jumper03 0 #31 August 25, 2004 QuoteHe is costing a lot, but give it a couple more years and the team should be back where it should be (have to get rid of the old R.C. molded players first). I tell you what, if he doesn't deliever, there will be a lot of very pissed off Old Ags that will make sure he's fired. He'll give you one good season then he's off to somewhere else!!! Same thing he did at New Mexico, TCU, Alabama.... ONE MORE WEEK!!!!! Jumper --------Scars remind us that the past is real

You're right about you guys getting the "better Bowden." The one we had sucked! I think he looks like a little weiner on TV as a sportscaster too. Anything is better then R.C, though. /me is getting PUMPED about football season (what really kicks ass is my fiance loves watching football too). I'll admit I wasn't too happy when Franchione bolted without so much as a word to the players in Tuscaloosa. I'll admit I cheered for every loss Texas A&M had last year, and laughed my ass off when the Aggies came out on the field at Oklahoma, and the OU fans were singing the "Rammer Jammer Yellowhammer we're gonna beat the hell out of you!" song... no insult intended. Give Franchione a year or two, he'll get the Aggies back up to where they expect to be, and I don't think he'll bolt from Texas A&M. He just missed living in the state of Texas while he was in Alabama, and the main reason he left Alabama was because he didn't feel like he was in charge of the team from an administrative point of view, he felt the program was being micro-managed from above. Give Alabama a couple years to get the team back to full strength and I think Mike Shula will have them winning again. This year will be a good barometer to see how much improvement there is from last year's debacle.
