Also, having had two corneal transplants, I can attest to the fact that the eye heals incredibly slowly. Given the whole degenerative nature of retinal detachment, I can easily imagine the doctor having her on a long convalescense. Shame on you for blasting her just because you don't like her. I would normally say don't criticize until you've walked in their shoes, but honestly having done that, I can tell you it sucks and wouldn't wish it on any person, even the insensitive ones. Oh yeah, also, makign ends meet on full pay is hard enough, making them meet on disability pay was impossible.
