neoteng 0 #1 August 26, 2004 dropped about 1 kilogram. feel much cleaner and have a little more energy now. Im already quite healthy so i think the changes were quite minimal. i dont drink, smoke or drink any caffine. i occasionally dabble in other illicit substances but thats kept to a minimum these days since ive started jumping. the detox included liver, bowels, stomach and intestinal. there were herbal tablets for each part and my diet consisted of raw food and no meat, sugars or other processed crap for 15 days. the best thing ive taken from it is now i still eat the raw museli for breakfast and two salad sandwiches for lunch. i eat meat for dinner tho.. but this new adopted 75% raw unprocessed food diet is the goods. so has anyone else tried it or even buckled? the dinners are so shit and a couple of times i was about to throw the towel in but maintained.. so yea.. i guess a heavy drinker, smoker and coffee/coke drinker will really feel the difference as you cant do any of that during the detox.. aparently you get quite sick aswell.. but yea as i said i felt minimal difference. ACMESkydiver 0 #2 August 26, 2004 I tried to do the 7-day detox and nearly puked my guts up on the 2nd day... Dry heaves...I think it's because I tried to quit smoking and drinking coffee and eating all at once and my body politely asked "WTF????" Maybe I'll try it someday. Someday verrrrry far from now. ~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action.

ACMESkydiver 0 #4 August 26, 2004 Well the 7 day detox has you without food for the first two days...just water and herbal tea. And yeah. It's that bad and then f*cking worse than that.~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action.
neoteng 0 #5 August 26, 2004 i guess its a good way to help you quit smoking and caffine.. unless you wana persist with them both. good for weight loss aswell.. it said on the packet that over weight peopl will lose about 4-5 kg through the 15 days. the 7 day one seems unhealthy tho.. not eating for 2 days is fucked. but yea ill prob do this 15 day one i did every 6 months. cvfd1399 0 #6 August 26, 2004 What does it consist of? I read somewhere about a weekend detox where you only eat like 1 salad a day and water for the weekend to clean you out.
Snowbird 0 #7 August 26, 2004 Just finished one, and I do one at least once a year! Feel great. It wasn't as harsh as others I've done, but it was a long 2 weeks! I always lose a few kilos when I cleanse, get lots of energy by the end, and can't wait to get back my morning Earl Grey tea when it's all over. This time around, as I slowly re-introduced different foods, I discovered - to my dismay - that eating wheat seems to make me quite tired. Not good! I LOVE bread, and all things baked. Dairy I can take or leave, but NnnoooOOo it's wheat that bothers me. I'm going to knock it out of my diet for a week or so, see if it helps. I hope it doesn't, then I can keep eating bread! To do the first one, you just have to dive in. Make it easy by planning your shopping, avoiding social commitments that will make it harder to stick to it, and plan for extra sleeping and food prep time. And the first time, do a more gentle cleanse, with a little more leeway. The real extreme ones are so much harder to stick with, especially the first time. But it's worth it! Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea. -Robert A. Heinlein
mailin 0 #8 August 26, 2004 This is interesting. Sounds similar to the diet I've been on for about 7 weeks now. I only have one meal a day (5 oz. animal protein and 3 servings of fresh veggies (raw or cooked)). Then 3 supplemental shakes throughout the day and lots of water. Thats it. Not as hard as I thought it would be (although the lack of carbs killed me the first 2 weeks) and I've lost 20+ pounds as a result JenArianna Frances

neoteng 0 #11 August 26, 2004 QuoteWhat does it consist of? I read somewhere about a weekend detox where you only eat like 1 salad a day and water for the weekend to clean you out. eer im not up for the ones that starve u.. they seem very unhealthy and they're more of a weight loss diet.. detox is about health.. with the one i did you still have a solid 3 meals a day.. one of my close mates owns a health food shop and they sell the packs.. its like $80 (AUS). but yea.. this was my routine.. waking up i drink a warm glass of water with a dash of lemon to kick start the digestion. 20 mins later ill have 250 mls of fresh fruit juice swirling it around your mouth. then ill have raw museli with soy milk and banana. i then take 1 bowel clensing tablet. between breakfast and lunch ill eat an apple a banana with a peppermint tea. 30 mins before lunch ill take a stomach clear and liver clear tablet. lunch i eat 2 sandwiches.. brown/multigrain bread, avacado, tomato, cucumber, mushroom, spouts, mung beans, spanich onion, homus and sea salt. during lunch ill take to intestinal tablets. then after a bowel tablet. between lunch and dinner ill have more fruit and pumkin seeds and almonds. 30 mins before dinner ill take a stomach clear and liver clear tablet.. dinner is the shittest.. brown ric/pasta with steamed vegetables.. once every 3 days ur allowed grilled fish. mmmm salmon ...mmm. then during dinner two intestinal and after a bowel cleansing tablet.. phew.. but yea.. im still keeping to the same diet except for the dinners. Snowbird 0 #12 August 26, 2004 wow, that's a routine! Mine was simpler. Quality protein with every meal, fish once a day. Brown rice at least once a day. No wheat, no other flour although whole grains are fine. No dairy. No caffeine. No sugar. No alcohol. Nothing processed or preserved, all the veggies from fresh, either raw or slightly steamed. Some weird exlusions like bananas and peanuts. Three shakes a day, which contained the cleansers and support nutrients for my colon, liver, and kidneys. LOTS of WATER! It was a great programme. I'd do it again quite happily! Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea. -Robert A. Dougiefresh 0 #14 August 27, 2004 No "bowel cleansing tablets" for me, thanks. May as well just eat some prunes and call it even...Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. --Douglas Adams
bch7773 0 #15 August 27, 2004 sounds like a uhhhh interesting diet... I'll just stick with "toxifing" my body with sugar, alcohol, and normal food. MB 3528, RB 1182
