kallend 2,175 #1 August 25, 2004 What's up with auto designers the last couple of years? Honda Element - downsized UPS delivery truck? Dodge Magnum/Chrysler 300 - ready to knock down barricades in the occupied territories? Cadillac CTS, scaled up from a cardboard cut-out model? Lincoln Navigator - from the Mack Truck school of vehicle design? Cadillac Escalade EXT - no comment All late model Lincolns and Mercurys - look like they have mustaches.... wmw999 2,600 #2 August 25, 2004 You've missed the Toyota Scion wagon. It's the Skyvan's boxy car cousin Wendy W.There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. I was going to get one and have the license plate say "ITSUGLY" Now the Aero - what an ugly car! I hated the Chyrsler 300C until I drove it. Wow, nice car despite the tank look. Reminds me of something out of Dick Tracy comics. Same thing for the Prius. I'm glad car companies are pushing the limits and having non-classical looks come out. I would imagine after so many years they have exhausted much of the traditional styling. Look at what a redisgn did for all of the Toyota line! Did you know that Scion is made by Toyota? I guess they felt they were no longer attracting the younger crowd with the Celica and similar cars - thus the marketing campaign for Scion (and say goodbye to the Toyota cars that will compete with those)._________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... Besides, they have these things called "tents" for about $30 bucks.... Like I'm gonna spend 34 grand on a tent!
