Remeber what you said last spring ? This summer i'm going to............

Well did ya?

Mine : "This summer i'm going to jump with more newbies and buy more beer." That i did, as much as i could.

Well, since I broke my ankle four days after the Memorial Day weekend :|...the answer would be a big freakin "NO". I did not meet my skydiving goals this summer. My injury didn't stop me from going to Rantoul, though and/or living vicariously through my friend's skydiving achievements! At least I can be happy for them, right? :)
Editd: Good for you for making the best of things whilst injured, Jef! Congrats Alana for meeting your goals, as well. B|

Oh yea I did everything I wanted. Lots of travel and lots of jumps. And I'm not even done. Three more (maybe four) events to attend and then end it all with Eloy after Christmas.

I made my 50th Jump on August 2
I went to my first boogie (WFFC) on August 12
I jumped every a/c they had up there but the balloons.

I had a goal to reach the milestone of 100 jumps..and as of Saturday, it'll be achieved.B|
Other than skydiving, I didn't meet my other goals[:/], but I'm persistent and things will come together soon. In the meantime, I'm enjoying the downtime and doing the "DZ Tour" in the Southeast:)

LMFAO...don't worry, my friend. I've still met other personal goals. ;) Life is about more than just jumping out of aircraft...to me, anyway.

Besides, just because I was injured and couldn't jump this summer doesn't mean that it's not fuckin' ON for the Fall and Winter!!! I am going to be making up for lost time...YEAH BABY, YEAH!!! B|

I just wanted to finally get my ass out to a dz to do a tandem, and wanted to drag my dad with me.

Done! And now I'm halfway through the goal made about halfway down from 14k that day. Hopefully I'll finish up AFF this weekend and get a few jumps towards an A!

Well it's not Summer here yet but this year as a whole has been productive for me:

Started AFF/Got my A
Bought my rig
Bought an apartment

...hopefully soon i'll have my perfect job within walking distance from where i live.

...And sometime before my 21st i want to stop procrastinating and get my drivers licence.

got base? B|

Yes i do ! Did my first base jumps (6) from the Perriene(sp) bridge (486ft high) in May Then bought the rig i was borrowing. ... I'm ready for Bridge day. YAY. Kinda forgot (to list) that achieved goal. Silly me.
Ok i bought a new G4 and started flying Gas powered R/C planes instead of the wimpy electric ones, and rode, drove the L-39 jet.
Goals i didn't expect this early... are cool.
And met a lot of cool people this summer. You guys/gals know who you are.
edit:oh yea ... 1000th jump was made this spring too.
Guess i'm having a better year than i thought.

Yes.

Skydiving goals: I can get to my head all on my own! My canopy skills have improved. Hopefully, things go well at Perris in October, and that will complete my list of goals!

Personal: I have learned a lot about myself this summer.....

Friendships: I've taken full enjoyment and realized how great some of my friendships are.

Family: I saw my family at least once a week, so I got to enjoy seeing my nephews change.

Work....let's not go there ;)
There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
