Shotgun 1 #1 September 1, 2004 So I am curious.... How long has dropzone.com been around, and when did the forums start (and any other interesting historical factoids)? I seem to remember coming here around 1999 or 2000(?) and it was a small site with some nice skydiving e-cards... but I don't remember seeing a discussion board at that time(?)... Then I didn't return to the site for a couple of years, and it had grown quite a bit when I came back... That's when the old "new" forums were started, the ones with a perminant logon, etc. I got on the forums at DZ.com May 23rd of 2000. At that point it had been around for a little while, the forums were cgi based and was very very simple, pretty similar to Fark in use, actually.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
