Any Moby Fans Here?

I just got a bunch of Moby music, 'cause I've heard a few through the past months on skydiving videos that I thought were good.

So are there any hardcore fans out there who can tell me what some of his better tracks are? Thanks so much.

Yes, Extreme Ways is off the 18 CD. I personally like that one better then Play.

My fav off that one is We are all made of Stars or 18. The Play CD is the first CD to have every track on it licenced for commercials.

I don't know if i'm thinking of a different mix, not sure of the exact name but Next is the E is one of the most difinitive tracks of that genre, even now it still gets played at parties although most people don't associate it with the Moby of today.

Moby had several remixes of Next is the E.

The Coolworld mix is Track 6 on his Next is the E CD and pretty close to the mix that was popular on radio back in the early 90s. There are a couple of Next is the E mixes that are almost unrecognizable as being from even the same artist, let alone a variation on the theme.

I met Moby once in Lawrence, KS at The Grenada. My friend (DJ Velasquez) brought him in for a Holloween show. It was fantastic. I had named my dog after him and he thought it was the coolest thing. It actually wasn't until then that I learned how much into animal rights he was. That was kind of trippy.

My old favorites are "1000" and "Go". Course, I'm old school and all. I remember techno when it was called Acid House and New Beat.

Moby has some good songs, a lot of drek though too.

If you like Moby, you might also want to check out Massive Attack. Mezzanine is their best album, but 100th Window is pretty good too.

i will agree, i went through a phase of moby about 3 years ago. still have the cd's and listen to them every now and then. i am listening to music like white stripes and the vines, system of a down, and modest mouse.....
