peacefuljeffrey 0 #1 September 5, 2004 Sooo, we rode out Hurricane Frances last night, and at least as far as I am concerned, we got really lucky (he said, having not gone out to check on his car in the driveway yet). I even was lucky for a while, because as the storm set in Saturday evening, I experienced a couple of power blips that reset clocks and stuff but came back on after only a few seconds. But then came 01:00 (Sunday morning) and bzzzt, it went off and didn't come back on. It's now 13:15 Sunday, so the power (and the air-conditioning!) has been off for 12 hours. No t.v. (which is no big loss, since it was just incessant hurricane blather by brainless news twits) but more importantly no hot water, no microwave and no refrigerator! Who else is suffering? Oh, by the way, I won't get to see replies until whenever my power comes back on, because my stupid laptop is about out of battery power, too! Cheers, ya'll!
