Lainey 0 #2 September 7, 2004 you're so into the poems today, aren't you Jafa man. Now I have that song in my head though... always reminds me of the British comedy Birds Of A Feather, it was the theme song. I've got a headache and this work day is dragging. Lainey 0 #5 September 7, 2004 I haven’t seen it since I was a kid… maybe 8 or 9 years old so most of the jokes were probably lost on me anyway. I think the attachment it’s more a nostalgic thing than any real depiction of quality in the show... My parents subjected me to a lot of bad British comedy when I was young. . Lainey 0 #7 September 7, 2004 Hey, there are a few okay shows, the Young Ones is classic comedy. I loved that show, it's so screwed up... actually that's about all i can think of right now... haha you're right, the rest of them must suck! well i hope you heal soon, if for no other reason than you're not forced to watch shite on tv 24/7 p.s. Thanks . And you shed not a single tear for the things that you didn't need 'Cause you knew you were finally free - Death Cab For Cutie

Thanks . true, young ones rock - sadly I have watched them so much I can practically tell you which series and episode a line comes from....... I should get out more.......... Unfortunatly for some reason UK Gold only normally shows the crap ones......... daytime TV 24/7 is enough to drive anyone over the edge espeically when you are awake from 4am onward.......... luckily discovery channels show some decent stuff.......... Oh well, I have had 4 months of it so far with another possible 2 months ahead - you would think I would get used to it......... M PS) my pleasure............ Lainey 0 #9 September 7, 2004 haha I have a heap of young ones on video, my brother sat me down when I was a kid and made me watch all of them. You have to have that sense of humour to like them though. I’ve shown them to my friends and they’ve stared blankly at the screen while Neil has been put in a garbage bag and had nail driven into him because he’s sneezing too much and I’m laughing my head off and they’re looking at me like I’m a freak. Oh well. haha Daytime tv is the worst, here we get crappy Aussie soaps which, I can tell you from experience, is way worse than any of those shitty English comedies. 6 months off, wow, that’s hectic. You really must have done some damage, sorry to hear. Well if you come through 6 months of daytime tv alive you’ll be a stronger man (either that or insane) And you shed not a single tear for the things that you didn't need 'Cause you knew you were finally free - Death Cab For Cutie

YES YES YES YES Oh my god I can't wait to get back to my beloved American television programming. The 4 channels I have down here are making me want to shoot myself ...well, except for the Simpsons. At least you guys got that one right? Hey Lainey, you got cable tv over at your place? I'll make the 5 minute walk down the street for some cable

Lainey 0 #12 September 7, 2004 Hey give me a break, i've lived there like a week, the TV in our lounge room isn't even set up yet haha. I think we're going to get cable assuming the building has a facility for it but I hardly watch TV anyway so it seems like a pretty big waste to pay for something I won't use, we'll see. And anyways, 90% American programing is just as bad as the English stuff . Lainey 0 #14 September 8, 2004 Ah Jeff, I’m at work, bored as all hell and I’m reduced to reading your rhymes to keep me amused. Worse still, I’m reduced to discussions on daytime TV! Where is my PM? Huh? And these questions you speak of… I have no idea what you mean. .
