I haven't been able to catch too many pre-season games this year. How have they been calling the new rule so far? From what I've seen it's been a happy medium. Obviously that game isn't the only reason for the new enforcement. It's been coming for a while. The 2004 AFC Championship Game was just the straw that broke the camel's back. If they're that strict during the regular season, man, the games are gonna be rather tedious to watch. The older I get the less I care who I piss off. lawrocket 3 #7 September 9, 2004 Personally, I'd like to see it go back to the 70's, where the DB was allowed one continuous contact. (Maybe people don't know this, but that's why so many DB's covered themselves in Stick-um - it allowed the continuous contact.) I think the refs will call it tight. The NFL wants scoring (a pattern since the 70's, when the NFL outlawed the headslap and allowed offensive holding) and this is a better way to do it.
