windcatcher 0 #1 September 9, 2004 I am an Organizational/Interpersonal major and I am just now starting to take classes for my major. Just wondering if any of ya'll work in Human Resources, I am thinking that might be the direction I am going down. I want to know, what's it like working in HR/Personnel? Also, is HR helpful in running manifest at the dz? ( I know, skydiving is that important to me that I would consider my job skills applicable to working at the dz) Sarah Mother to the cutest little thing in the world... We used to call Human resources "the black hole" and stayed away from them like the plaque because they couldn't be objective due to the organization chart which put them directly under mnagement their option in handling personnel challenges were limited in spite of what the empolyee handbook said. Our director of Human resources refered to his office as "Human remains". Of course some companies are different and trat their employees fairly. Hint: Don't go to work for the gov't. IMO Interpersonal skill should be helpful working at a DZ. But the pay sucks. communication is a interesting subject used to be call propaganda or being able to put a spin on a subject. Having good command of the english language is a real plus, a concience could be a minus. R.i.P.

If you want to make enough money to skydive, don't work at the DZMay your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds. - Edward Abbey
