peacefuljeffrey 0 #1 September 5, 2004 Anyone with information about Skydive Sebastian please post with it. I don't even know if they moved the airplane somewhere out of the path of the storm. I'm hoping everything and everybody is alright. Thanks, --Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!" flyangel2 2 #2 September 6, 2004 Wendy posted in another thread that the plane had been moved. Both she and Lisa got out, and I'm sure they aren't in a big hurry to get home to a mess.May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. LouDiamond 1 #3 September 6, 2004 The packing hanger was destroyed but other than that everything appears to be fine from what the people who stayed have stated so far."It's just skydiving..additional drama is not required" Some people dream about flying, I live my dream SKYMONKEY PUBLISHING

I plan to get a ProTrack from there eventually. Oooh, maybe they'll have a "blowout sale." Okay, I know, bad joke. Sure glad they got the plane moved. LouDiamond 1 #6 September 6, 2004 QuoteWondering if that "everything" includes the gear store... It is my understanding that it is indeed still standing so you will have your own little piece of heaven to go back to The plane and gear were flown to X-keys but supposedly the plane is in suffolk flying right now."It's just skydiving..additional drama is not required" Some people dream about flying, I live my dream SKYMONKEY PUBLISHING

bendywendy 0 #9 September 7, 2004 Yes, everything else and everyone is ok. Even the boneheads (and yes, I can call my friends boneheads) who stayed. They got lucky! They've also been suffering without airconditioning for days while I've been mooching off friends in comfort. I'll be heading back and we'll get the plane back down as soon as the debris is cleaned up and the power is back on. Hopefully we'll have that in the next couple of days. Where are you Lisa? Already on your way back? I head out today from XKeys. See you tomorrow or the next day.
katiebear21 0 #10 September 7, 2004 The only boneheads were at my house eating Mexican and drinking Corona Thursday night!!! Chuck and I Loved having our Sebastian friends flee North for the Hurricane Party. Maybe next time we'll actually see each other! LMAO!!! Oh, and Wendy, definitely Crown Royal. justhavingfun 0 #11 September 8, 2004 We actually had your plane up at Skydive Sussex, NJ this past weekend. We've hijacked the plane and kidnapped the pilot. Just kidding... we had a blast! Tell Crow he can come back any time, and to bring the plane with him
skybytch 273 #12 September 8, 2004 I got home about 5 pm yesterday. There was no power or phone at the dz as of 11am today. Other than the packing hangar cover being mostly gone (structure is still there), some signs blown away, the tree next to the main hangar gone and quite a bit of debris and standing water, the dz came through it well. The crabs in the parking lot are trippy. The power at my house came on before sunset last night and the phone/internet came back on a few minutes ago. Big thanks to Chuck and Katie for taking in me and my dog unannounced and uninvited, and also to those who kept calling to check on me. Not that it matters, I doubt anyone around here has buying a new helmet or tshirt at the top of their gotta-do-right-now list. I thought you just moved down here and you're gonna run away already Don't let some little 100+ mph winds sustained for over 24 hours scare you away.
