Jumpervint 0 #2 September 10, 2004 Am I being sensitive if I note that 2 of 'em were Seahawks (for whom I used to work on gamedays) and two more are products of Washington state universities? That makes a high percentage of your list having ties to Washington state. Granted, they weren't much in the NFL, but they did get their $$$$ didn't they? It is a business, after all. Vint. . . . . lawrocket 3 #3 September 10, 2004 Tough choice between Mandarich and Leaf. I don't think Blackledge was that much of a bust - any other year he would have been a good (like Tony Eason and Ken O'Brien) - he just didn't have the impact of Elway, Kelly or Marino. Bust that year? How about Tony Hunter of the Bills, who was drafted by them AHEAD of Jim Kelly? Mandarich? Maybe he was such a bust because of his extensive self-promotion before the draft. Expectations were WAY too high, and he played a few years (when he wasn't sick). I'd still have to go with Leaf, though. He had the build and the skill, but krikey what a dumb ass. I thought he was way better than Manning. I was way wrong on that one. My wife is hotter than your wife.
tunaplanet 0 #4 September 10, 2004 I went with Mirer. What a worthless piece of shit. You know you're a bust when Tom Tupa out QBs you in the season opener. Poor Tupa. He went in, played his heart out. Then Mirer trots onto the field in the 4th and blows the game. Dumbass. Forty-two
lawrocket 3 #5 September 10, 2004 They said the same thing about Steve Young when he was in Tampa. A total bust. And about Trent Dilfer in Tampa. Many of these guys just needed a chance to prove themselves in the right circumstance. Heck, it took Elway a number of years and a good running back to get him his big win. tunaplanet 0 #6 September 10, 2004 True but you have to admit, Mirer was a complete and utter bust. He sucked hardcore. Hey, which week do your boys get anally abused by the men in pewter? Forty-two
lawrocket 3 #7 September 10, 2004 That was a year and a half ago, dude. My saddest birthday ever. I think it's week three weeks. Either the 19th or the 26th. I'll still tip my hat to Gruden. My wife is hotter than your wife.
