Amazon 7 #1 September 10, 2004 Have you ever created a bit of pure havoc at work? Yesterday I told my manager that I will probably not be around for the next review period since my company just is not as employee friendly as it once was. He was curious as to why and I told him that no matter how many hours I work or problems I solved that a promotion just is not in my future. I think the crowning moment was he asked why I thought that.. and I told him. I dont have foosball skills. All the upper managers seem to spend at least an hour at the foosball table per day. I am usually far too busy actually working. Yet its impossible to get a raise... or a bonus that isn't an insult. That led to an immediate meeting of 3 levels of my management. Its ok really because I have already been getting my resume ready and I am not so freakin locked into staying at the company as I once was. We made far too much money to have employees who actually do a good job not to get a raise.... a decent bonus.. and some of the much vaunted stock that the management is loading up on. Today I got my email from one of my other accounts with my horoscope for yesterday..... BWAHAHAHAHAHA Your Thursday Horoscope, Jeanne! Speaking softly will not get the job done today. A comment could come out of your mouth today that will shock everyone due to its raw truthfulness. Remind your critics that everyone benefits from bold revelations. Todays team meeting is going to be interesting. Those of us who have been doing the bulk of the daily work...ain't happy. Todays horoscope is looking better Your Friday Horoscope, Jeanne! The chance to share what you believe will put you among pleasant company. Sharing your experiences will make a few influential people want to get to know you. Prepare for the chance to be promoted soon.

Katzeye 0 #8 September 10, 2004 Try living in a contractor's facility as a representative for their employer. On a daily basis I get to say "The customer is not happy about xxxx - who is responsible" and watch the scramble ensue. And if i want to start a HUGE shitstorm, I relay a few secrets about the vendor I discover on a daily basis to the powers that be... THEN it really storms! MUAHAHAHAHA Is a chicken omelette redundant?
