Hershey's SWOOPS!

Recommended Posts

So, I first heard of these things back at the Skydive SoBe boogie in January. They were being sold at the DZ largely in part because of the name, which certainly resonates with skydivers! B|

Have you tried these things? I got mine at Walmart in the candy aisle. They're chips of chocolate shaped, essentially, like a Pringles potato crisp. And they're awesome!

I find it amazing that my enjoyment of chocolate can have so much dependency on the shape of the stuff. Isn't that funny? If I were simply eating blocks of it, it wouldn't be as "fun" or as enjoyable! Go figure.

:)

When I worked for Hersheys back in '92 we knew how to make Swoops, and they thought about marketing them to compete w/ potato chips. There were two drawbacks 1) potato chips don't cost $20/bag and 2) eating them like potato chips results in taking in an amount of sugar that would put a horse into a diabetic coma. Cool to know they are on the market, finally.

Which variety do you like? Haven't tried them yet, I bet the Reese's are good.

I think I tried those, but I prefer the plain milk chocolate ones. If I want Reese's taste, I go for Pieces. They RULE! OMG I just realized how long it's been since I remembered to buy them! :o
