cocheese 0 #1 September 14, 2004 How long would you go WITHOUT a jump ? Considering you were in great health.Weather is not a factor either. So what would your average down time be between jump days ?

yoink 321 #3 September 14, 2004 5 days.... but you can bet I'd be on every lift at the weekends....
pccoder 0 #4 September 14, 2004 i'd jump a lot more than now, pretty much whenever i had nothing else to do PcCoder.net
SarahC07 0 #5 September 14, 2004 umm... maybe an hour..... I'D JUMP ALL THE DAMN TIME!!! But in reality, it would probably be 5 days MAX (those are week days) and then sometimes maybe just 2 days....
Icon134 0 #6 September 14, 2004 I would like to jump every other day at least... but I would probably also do other things... i.e. climbing, kayaking (open water, river), rowing(skulling, etc.), caving, Kite surfing (that looks like fun...), flying... I like to do a lot of things... the only thing holding me back are money and time. ScottLivin' on the Edge... sleeping with my rigger's wife...
CrazyThomas 0 #7 September 14, 2004 what about the "Burn-out" factor. Seriously, if you jumped 20 times daily, for a month straight, would the last jump be as exciting as the first? if time and money were no object, then no object would be safe Thomas
Cajundude 0 #8 September 14, 2004 First of all I would finish my training within a week and then I guess the downtime would be the fly time to different DZs around the world. That would be a suuweeeeeet trip.
AggieDave 6 #9 September 14, 2004 I'd keep jumping at the rate I'm jumping. I basically jump now as if time and money are no object, since I make enough doing tandems that I don't have to worry about jump money and since I'm at the DZ just about every time we're open anyways. Now if money was no object, I'd be rolling to the DZ on a nice custom chopper and let my fiance have my sweet Kawasaki Vulcan.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." Vallerina 2 #10 September 14, 2004 I would probably jump less actually. I'd be too busy travelling and seeing the world to jump much! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
sunshine 2 #11 September 14, 2004 Since my life doesn't revolve around jumping it's hard to say how often i would jump. I enjoy doing so many other things too, like kayaking, riding, swimming. I would prolly jump on the weekends when i didnt have any other plans. ___________________________________________ meow I get a Mike hug! I get a Mike hug! PhreeZone 20 #12 September 14, 2004 Probally a lot less then I do now. I'd love to get out, travel, see other things, go boating, hiking and just enjoy myself more.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
Squeak 17 #13 September 14, 2004 iF MONEY WERE NO OBJECT THEN i WOULDN'T NEED TO WORK Ooops So I'd probably travel a shite load from Dz to DZ around the world, so the longest I would go without jumping would be the time i was trekking inbetween DZsYou are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! How's yours doing?

freeflir29 0 #15 September 14, 2004 Hmmm......I'd mostly just jump on the weekends. If I didn't have to work I could use the week days for doing all the other stuff I'd want to do. Jumping during the week is fun but it just doesn't have the same vibe as the weekend.

VanillaSkyGirl 6 #19 September 14, 2004 QuoteJumping during the week is fun but it just doesn't have the same vibe as the weekend. I totally agree! Also, like Sunny and Val and many others have said...I'd be too busy traveling and trying different activities to be jumping all the time. There is so much more to life than just jumping, although I miss it a lot right now. I'd love to begin wind surfing, return to rigorous rock climbing (& even try big wall climbs), begin scuba iving again, sail the big seas, ocean kayak, river raft and travel to every continent and every country that I have ever wanted to visit, etc. Whenever there would be a really good boogie or great training camp that I'd love to go to, I'd skydive. I would train as much as possible with the best instructors to improve my skills and get as much good-quality, custom gear as I could. I'd fly with as many great body pilots as I could. I'd also visit my sky friends as often as I could after all my other activities. It would be awesome seeing my far away sky friends more often!
