Vallerina 2 #1 September 14, 2004 Since I'm not taking an exam, and my jumping will now slow down considerably, I have all sorts of time! I can actually go do things in the city that I've been wanting to do for months! Thursday nights, there is this incredible belly-dancer named Sonya who performs at Raw Bar at 8, 9 and 10 pm. (I attached a pic to entice the boys.) She can do things with her body that I'm always amazed at seeing! So, I'm going to be checking out her performances some Thursdays. Anyone want to join? lowtimer 0 #4 September 14, 2004 I'm not sure if they still do it, but Second City had a free improv set at 10:30pm or so Sunday-Thursday. Then go and drink with the performers at Corcoran's across the street! That establishment is THE reason why I had to leave UIC Lotsa good memories, though ---------------------------------- Successfully avoiding adult responsibility since 1978! Dumpster 0 #6 September 14, 2004 I'll vouch for Buddy Guys' Ledgends - Sharon and I have been down there several times, and a good time was had by all. If you haven't been to see Blue Man yet, they might have a weeknight show going, too. I haven't seen the show since 2001, I hear it's changed quite alot. I haven't seen the show since 2001, I saw it a year ago, and it hasn't changed at all. Okay! I'm not asking what to do in Chicago! I already know that! I'm just letting everyone in the area know that there's a really cool belly dancer that they should go see with me! If I ever make it down there, it'll be my treat. I'll even remember to pay the cab, open your door, pull out your chair, and rise whenever you enter the room. Don't even think of ordering for yourself either, that's the man's job! oooooh, I'm sooooo dead...It's your life, live it! Thankyouverymuch. Elvis was a ladies man too. He ALWAYS paid the tab, opened doors, and was loved by women the world over. He never hit a woman and kicked the crap outta guys that did. craichead 0 #13 September 14, 2004 QuoteI saw it a year ago, and it hasn't changed at all. Actually, they changed it this season! They added new material, and have renamed it "Blue Man Group: Rewired." I'm kind of curious...but also kind of poor. _Pm__ "Scared of love, love and aeroplanes...falling out, I said takes no brains." -- Andy Partridge (XTC)
