skybytch 273 #1 September 19, 2004 Some pictures from my escape from Frances a couple weeks ago. 001 - rest stop at the GA/SC border. 2:30 am Thursday morning and there were at least 100 cars in the lot. 004 - stuck in traffic in a nasty storm in SC on the way back south 017 - what's left of a Mickey D billboard, north of Jacksonville. 018 - more traffic on I95 south 024 - the trees in the median didn't fare well
skybytch 273 #2 September 19, 2004 028 - stay tree. Stay. 040 - what's left of a boat or two along US1, south of Melbourne and north of Sebastian 045 - dunno where the canopy over the gas pumps disappeared to... 048 - don't think this is what they meant by "house"boat 051 - this one could've been much worse... skybytch 273 #3 September 19, 2004 057 - the view after turning off US 1 onto my street 058 - this one is still sitting there two weeks later 071 - this used to be a gas station/car repair shop 076 - they didn't have a lake in their front yard before the storm 082 - most of the packing hangar was still there. No cover and the other end was quite tweaked.

kingbunky 3 #5 September 19, 2004 nice product placement with the skymonkey hat on the dash! don't know what to say about all the damage, but to be completely unoriginal, i guess it could have been a lot worse."Hang on a sec, the young'uns are throwin' beer cans at a golf cart." skybytch 273 #7 September 20, 2004 QuoteMissing the California earthquakes yet? Yes, as a matter of fact, I am. Assuming the same outcome, a few minutes of shaking is nothing compared to having to evacuate, spending a week wondering what if anything would be left and then another week of not being able to buy beer.
