I jumped a new DZ this weekend

I went and jumped Archway in Vandalia IL this past weekend.

I have to say that everyone out there is totally awesome and I had an awesome time. I want to thank Jason the owner and his entire staff for showing me a real good time. I owe them tons of beer for all the firsts I had, Frst jumps on a Caravan,and a 182.

I got there on Friday and was gearing up after signing the waiver and was invited on a 4 way right off the bat. I went back yesterday and was greeted by the staff and got in on 2 really good dives.


I absolutely love their unofficial motto which is "The only time you jump solo is if you absolutely want to" Its DZ's like this that build an awesome clientele base.

IMHO if you're ever traveling theough the St. Louis area Archway is a DZ you must jump.

I love going to jump other places. I've only got to do it a couple times so far but hope to do more of it over the next year. Don't get me wrong I love my home DZ and have no problems with it. It's just nice to get to jump different planes, see new scenery, and meet new people. I think it's one of the things that I like most about this sport is being able to travel around to other DZs and see the world in a way that few others do.
