Lindsey 0 #2 September 24, 2004 lol....that's funny. A friend of mine (who lurks these forums but is too scared to post) told me the other day about someone asking him if he ever thought about juming into the eye of a hurricane. I was thinking, "What???? Where the hell did that question come from?" And here it is again. Must mean something linz-- A conservative is just a liberal who's been mugged. A liberal is just a conservative who's been to jail

YES I am crazy Never heard of such a thing, but I'm sure it's just like any other water landing (little/no wind in the eye). But how would you get picked up without a ship going through the muck on the sea surface... and AFAIK you wouldn't have a helicopter available to pick you up. I guess you would have to attempt to do it after it makes landfall, and THAT's where it would be tricky. It would be interesting to do it... almost like what's his face who parachuted onto the top of Devil's Tower in WY... he had to sit on top of that thing for a few days and eat air-dropped food since it took a while for people on the ground to figure out how to rescue the guy. ____________________________________________________________ I'm RICK JAMES! akarunway 1 #4 September 24, 2004 We were thinking if the eye (on land) was large enough you could fly something fast > a King Air maybe< in quick circles to whatever altitute depending on the conditions.I hold it true, whate'er befall; I feel it, when I sorrow most; 'Tis better to have loved and lost Than never to have loved at all. ChasingBlueSky 0 #5 September 24, 2004 I've heard some old timers say it was done "back in the day" but it could just be a story_________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... I WILL fly again.....
