gravityizsexy 0 #1 September 24, 2004 So I was in the supermarket today getting stuff to make smore's ($4.00 - sweet deal) and I was thinking. "Why is DZ full of such beautiful people?" (physically I'm talking) and I concluded my theory with the fact that there aren't many people over 250lbs. that jump. Somebody prove me wrong, I feel guilty for being this arrogant (I think it's cause I'm still hungry) P.S. - and I don't count "'Someday is not a day in my week'"
jjiimmyyt 0 #2 September 24, 2004 I think when most people walk round with massive grins on their face that kind of helps. I think happy people are more attractive (unless you're a goth). Not many large people get into the sport.. maybe because they won't take tandems of a certain size? Or, people who are 300lbs are just (generally) not all that motivated. Of course, there are exceptions... huge muscular people maybe. I dunno. Personally, i've gained weight since I started in this sport. I gave up keeping coral reef tanks (very expensive) instead of giving up eating (also very expensive the way I do it). -A

VanillaSkyGirl 6 #8 September 24, 2004 QuoteThe answer is simple for the Perris and Elsinore people... It's California... Yeah, California attracts the people beautiful on the outside, but they're not always the most beautiful on the inside. However, most of the people that I have met at Perris and Elsinore have beauty on BOTH the outside and inside! Lacking any of those attributes makes it much harder to skydive well. I even used to be skinny, back when I started jumping.
 christoofar 0 #11 September 24, 2004 There are heavy people (to me heavy is a BMI 24 or higher) who skydive quite a bit, usually jumping large Sabres and such (though seen a pretty big guy navigating a very skinny looking Stiletto once in Nevada). I know several who jump quite a lot, and their attitute and personality make them much more popular at any DZ than the skinny competitive braggarts. I for one used to be HUGE... I was packing on 235 onto a 6' frame with a 41-42"w, and I was still somewhat big even when I started jumping (200lbs). I managed to fix all that over 5 years, got down to 160, 30"w and 15" arms and I am happy that I've improved. But, I don’t take any comments I get about what I look like seriously. I got enough of them when I was fat. ____________________________________________________________ I'm RICK JAMES! Fo shizzle.
