Star Trek TNG

Recommended Posts

Sky one has just started repeating ST TNG in the UK, watching the 'drunk' episode where Data and Tasha get it on (also where Bevelry and Jean-Luc allude to it), go to be my favourite episode ever.

So question is; what is you favourite ST episode, does not matter whether original, TNG, DSN, Voyager or Enterprise. Or though I'm guessing not too many votes for Enterprise.

The one that first comes to mind is where Riker visits Risa and returns with an addicting game....of everyone on the ship, only straight-laced Wesley Crusher doesn't play, and saves the day....:)

Yup! that one was good. And i also like "I Borg", where they captured a Borg, and managed to implant self awareness to the Borg, in addition to the Borg "collective".

In fact, all Star Trek TNG episodes are good. I have the entire season 5 on DVD, and I would buy the other 6 seasons if i had a little more money. I'm a Trekkie ! B|

Trials and Tribble-ations -DS9

Yeah, that one is a good one!
I also really liked when Voyager first encountered the Borg and got seven of nine. What a hottie after she got out of all the borg stuff!

you actualy want me to pick one.....sorry too many to choose from.;) (yes im a trekkie!!!)

And don't forget the two episodes where Picard became a Borg.

Also, the episode " The Inner Light", where Picard lived an entire life as "Kamen" in about an hour of a human's life.

These are the best episodes IMHO.

Star Trek DS9 (which, in my opinion, is definitely the best out of all the ST series) : "The Visitor" - Capt. Sisko has an accident that initially gives the impression that he has died. It is later found that he is stuck in a state that has him re-appearing around his son (Jake) as time goes by. This is easily the most emotionally-charged episode ever made in any ST series. It still affects me in the same manner ever time I see it.

Star Trek TNG : "The Inner Light" - This is the episode where a probe "attacks" Picard and causes him to experience his life as part of an extinct alien race. This is definitely not a normal action-based TNG episode, but instead relies heavily on characterization to become one of the best episodes of ST.

Star Trek TOS : Even though this is not my favorite series, I would say that "The City on the Edge of Forever" would be the best episode. This is the episode where Dr. McCoy, in a drug-induced deranged state, goes through a time portal into depression-era US. Kirk has to make a decision that will hurt himself personally, yet allow the timeline to remain intact.

I never really got into Voyager or Enterprise. Actually, I've mostly given up on Enterprise entirely. I originally liked the premise of the series, but the writers seem unable to turn that premise into an enjoyable (or even credible) series.

hmmm

TNG ? the episode where Riker and a Klingon officer are exchange duty positions for a while... no idea what it is called

also (iirc) "Below Decks" where you see the how the lower ranks live and work in the TNG universe...

DS9 -i think it is called "Blood Oath" 3 Klingon's meet with Jadzia Dax to pay an old debt.... of course there isnt much i wont watch Terry Farrell in... yowsa...:)

DS9 was all around the better show imo, it was so often so good, without beating you over the head with the lead pipe of social commentary it should be given a separate name apart from 'Trek'.

I don't recall ep names but this past season on Enterprise involved saving the Earth from destruction by an alien WMD. During the quest to find and shut down the WMD, the E's Capt. tortured a pirate for info and later attacked and stole components from a neutral exploration vessel in order to complete his mission.

I liked that because it was nice to see a ST captain that had a bite as well as a bark. Plus there was some nice resonance with that Nietzsche quote about staring into the abyss.

Oh, I don't remember the name of the episode but it was a TNG one.

The ship is going to some planet to on some emergency mission (I think it might have been to deliver drugs or something) when they come across a space anomaly and suddenly an alien space ship appears. Picard goes around the bridge; Worf wants to blow 'em up, Diana senses something strange and that the aliens are hiding something, Riker wants to boink the alien's first officer (damn she's hot!) and Picard decides to have a talk with the alien captain. Meanwhile Wesley has some homework experiment going awry and that causes a minor emergency where both crews are in mortal danger. Data, not being a mortal saves the day.

Do you remember the name of that one? ;)
