happythoughts 0 #1 September 29, 2004 BBC QuoteEarlier this week, Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra said he had ordered his ambassador in Moscow to offer chicken for weapons, and said he would consult military chiefs on what arms they wanted. He did not mention whether warplanes were likely to be on the list, but the official told Reuters that Bangkok was interested in Russia's Sukhoi Su-30 fighter planes. What is the chicken/airplane transaction ratio?

I reckon it's propagation of WMD! LAUNCH THE CHICKEN!!!! Maybe the Russians had a Norwegian translating to the Thais. Chicken is "kylling" in Norwegian. "The Russian govt wishes to do trade with the Thai people. Jet airplanes for killing." It came out "...trade airplanes for chicken". Seems logical to me. As it turns out, the chicken are more deadly than the planes.
happythoughts 0 #11 September 29, 2004 QuoteSo what's that stand for these days? "Bad British Comedy"? It's always stood for that. Tonight they are airing a re-run of that movie Poultry guys. It is about the Thai chicken merchant who kills his chickens by choking them. Of course, it is given a X-rating because the plot had references to "choking the chicken".
